Cottagecore in Community: Mental Health Walk-and-Talk



For Mental Health Awareness Month programs, we invite our neighbors to participate in a walk-and-talk with Cottage Staff on the campus of the Armed Forces Retirement Home

For Mental Health Awareness Month programs, we invite our neighbors to participate in the following experiences that foster community and creativity:



  • May 29 – Mental Health Month Walk-and-Talk with Cottage Staff through the campus of the Armed Forces Retirement Home Campus, grounds Lincoln himself loved.

    • Tickets are free, but reservation is required on our website

    • Bagels and Coffee from Call Your Mother will be served!



  • May 1-31 – Book drive for DC Books to Prisons in the Museum Shop to extend connection to our most isolated citizens

  • Daily – Crafting Connection activity in the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center that encourages a meditation on the value and worth of every human being.
