I provide education and support for the reproductive continuum--a rich time in one's life that spans the years from menarche to menopause. More specifically, I am a Fertility Awareness and Sexual/Reproductive Health Educator, as well as a Childbirth Educator and Lactation Educator.

As a Fertility Awareness Educator (certified through Grace of the Moon Institute for Body Literacy and the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals), I help people with uteruses learn to read their body’s fertility signs, increase their reproductive and hormonal health, and expand their body literacy.

The Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) refers to a collection of practices through which we can come to understand the menstrual cycle and gain an awareness of our reproductive health and the amazing dance that our hormones and reproductive organs do every month. Through the daily practice of tracking and charting our fertility signs—cervical fluid observations, waking temperature, and cervical position and feel—we can always know if we are fertile, and can thus time intercourse/insemination depending on the desired outcome. As a natural contraception method, FAM is highly effective when practiced diligently, with comparable effectiveness rates to hormonal birth control. It can even be practiced in the postpartum phase! If pregnancy is your goal, practicing FAM increases your chances of conceiving when you want to, and also helps you prepare for a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy.

I have been practicing FAM for about a decade, both for contraception and for conception (I have two wonderful kiddos), and through this process also learned so much about my reproductive and hormonal health. I recently completed a two-year intensive training program to be able to teach this amazing material to others! I am passionate about the intersection of body literacy and reproductive rights & justice, and I see Fertility Awareness as a vital part of taking back our birthright: the ability to determine our own reproductive health and bodily autonomy.

My classes and private consultations are open and affirming to all, inclusive of race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity & expression, family structure, age, ability, and socioeconomic status. If you are interested in learning more about your reproductive and sexual health, I am happy to work with you, and I will be inclusive of your family, partner/s, and whoever is involved along the way.

I am also a Childbirth Educator, and you can find out more about my childbirth preparation classes in the Childbirth Educators section, and by visiting my website.
